第一届估价论谈会的通知

世界估价组织协会（WAVO）将于11月27日至29日在新加坡举行第一届估价论谈会。

2006年9月11日，新加坡测量师与估价师学会会长、新加坡太平绅士林兰源博士率领新加坡测量师与估价师学会代表团访问中国土地估价师协会时，现任世界估价组织协会主席的林兰源博士向我会胡存智常务副会长表达了专门邀请我会会员参加世界估价组织协会第一届估价论谈会的愿望。

日前，我会秘书处接到了有关会议内容及活动安排的来函（见附件）。请有意赴新加坡参加世界估价组织协会第一届估价论谈会的人员，按附件所列方式直接与大会组织者联系报名，并同时向协会秘书处备案。以便协会秘书处安排与会人员共同以中国土地估价师协会名义参加会议及活动，并对参加会议的土地估价师记录24继续教育学时。与会人员在报名出境过程中如有困难，请与协会秘书处联系协调解决。

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION Payment is required with registration and must be received prior to the event. Confirmation will be sent via email. Changes must be made in writing to the Congress Secretariat. Cancellations received by 30 September 2006 will receive a refund less S$100 processing fee. No refund will be made after this date but delegate substitution will be accepted.

ROOM RESERVATION must be guaranteed by credit card or one-night deposit by TT/bank draft issued to “Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers”. Hotel will send confirmation directly to you. In the event of “no-show” or cancellation with less than 3 days prior to arrival, the hotel will levy a one-night charge. Room Booking Cut-off Date: 25 October 2006. Introduction

The World Association of Valuation Organisations (WAVO) will be hosting its first international congress in Singapore from 27 to 29 November 2006. This is an invaluable opportunity for valuers from various parts of the world to meet, exchange views and discuss issues of common interest. All practising valuers from both private and public sectors as well as valuation lecturers are welcome. We would like to extend an invitation to you to attend this congress as a participant, presenter or as chairperson of a session.

Highlights of this Congress

· All valuers are invited to participate in conducting an investment analysis of the integrated resort sites in Singapore. Singapore’s government has recently decided to award two sites for the development of two large integrated resorts with casinos which attracted great interest from resort developers all over the world. A top prize of US$3000 will be awarded to the Best Investment Analysis Report submitted as recommended by a panel of international assessors.

· A Best Research Paper presented at the congress will be awarded a prize of US$1500. A research paper is one which is prepared based on a survey, literature review or an enunciation of new principles including any paper written with a strong academic rigour.

· A Best Practice Paper presented at the congress will be awarded a prize of US$1500. A practice paper is one which is very much focused on practice issues.

· A session on valuation practices in various WAVO members’ countries will be discussed.
